One2one Network

Do you like to do campaigns (ie reviews, product testing and influencing) on social media?  If so, check out One2one Network!  There are lots of different things for different types of bloggers.  Mommy bloggers, craft bloggers, food bloggers, etc. I know that I'm not on social media as much lately, but working with 4 kids and two of those being 9 month old twins it's been CRAZY.  I'm not sure how they are 9 months old!

I love that with One2one I can pick and choose campaigns that work for me with my time and that are most beneficial to our family.

Check it out here!

Monkey Mat Review - As seen on Shark Tank

Monkey Mat was provided for review. All opinions are my own.

I recently received a Monkey Mat to try out. The first thing I noticed was how small it folded up. I like how it all zips into it's own pouch nice and small. No separate pouch to lose. It also has a carrying strap you can attach to any diaper bag, stroller, etc.

It's moisture resistant,  but I don't think it would keep moisture out from really wet grounds.  It's a really thin nylon that's a little slick.  This is why it folds so well and small. You can buy stakes to keep it in place outdoors.

I originally bought it to put on our living room carpet inside our twins' new playpen. They are still in the spit up stage, but like to roll all over to play.  I need something on the floor that's easy to wash when they spit up everywhere.  It opens up to 5' by 5' so it wasn't quite bug enough for what I wanted. It's really not big enough for our family of 6. I'd need at least 2 of them. The loops for the stakes do help secure it under our playpen (around the suction cups).  I may try it again with the playpen for when they can push it and see if the loops keep the playpen in one place.

Overall it's nice. The compact fold is the best part.   It's lightweight and fits easily in a diaper bag, purse, pocket,  etc. It will always be easier than dragging a big oversized blanket.

Label Daddy Labels Review and 25% off

This is the 2nd time I've gotten Label Daddy labels. I love them.  It's so easy to stick a label on clothing items than to write on everything with sharpies.

I have twins that just started daycare and needed to label everything. For clothing labels with both their names on them which is awesome. Their names are pretty short though.

I've been selling all our baby stuff when done with them.  I can easily pull off the labels when passing the clothes along instead of needing to cut tags out our cross out names.

I've only had this set a couple weeks,  but my last set for my older kids lasted well. They aren't permanent stickers, but stayed on through at least 15-30 washes.

Update: I found 3 of my labels stuck to the inside of my washing machine.  I'm not sure if this happened in a regular load or if my husband used the steam load.  Just an FYI if you have a steam option.  These may not be the best for that type of wash.

Baby preferred drool pads and bib review.

I received this product for free and this is my honest review of the product. My opinions are unbiased and my own.

I received these drool pads and bib to try out. They are designed to fit the Ergo 360, but can work with other carriers.  I have a Twingo and an Infantimo Mei Tei. Neither of them are forward facing carriers, so the bib isn't quite as needed. These do the drool pads do fit the Twingo when using it as a single carrier.  I can't use it as a double yet because my guys are too small. They fit even better on the Mei Tai.  I put the bib on where the hood snaps on it and worked fine. They don't fit quite well on the Twingo when it's used as a double because there are snaps for the 2nd carrier. They do go on, but they cover the snaps (this could be a good thing) and it's a tight fit. Guaranteed they aren't meant for the Twingo.

Here they are on a Twingo (single carry).  Babies were asleep so Alyssa the cabage patch came to help.

We are definitely at the stage of needing drool pads. Both boys are chewing and drooling on everything. The minute they are out in a carrier they start chewing on the straps. The drool pads help keep the carrier dry (they are expensive!) and clean. It's much easier to throw the pads and bib in the wash instead of the entire carrier.

I highly recommend them if you have an Ergo 360.  I recommend the drool pads if you have other carriers as well.

Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood Party

This post may be sponsored.

I got to host a Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood Party.  I was so excited.  I'm a music teacher so I'm very familiar with Peter and the Wolf.  I use it all the time to teach students the sounds of the different instruments and the instrument families.

We got together with friends and let the kids play and swim together.  They had a blast.  We tried out the app Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood narrated by Alice Cooper.  The kids enjoyed the new twist and modern story based on the original.  I like the section that shows each character and their instruments that represent them.  Personally, I would have preferred if they stuck to all of Prokofiev's Music rather than mostly new music created for it.  The only parts of the original used were to introduce the character.  It would have been more of a teaching tool, but can still used in a compare/contrast with the original story and music.

The kids enjoyed the story and it kept their attention.   We played pool games and had lots of ducks in the water just like the ducks in Peter and the wolf in Hollywood.
Drum Stick Pretzels

We made lots of Yummy Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood Snacks!
Duck in the water Jello

The kids enjoyed all the swimming games.  Lots of little ducks in the water!

One of our littlest Ducks!

We had our snacks and enjoyed the Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood app and story!

Maze Circuit Game review

This item was provided for the review.  All opinions are our own.

Review done by an 8 year old, "Sissy."

I like this game a lot.  It's great for people who want to learn.  I got some of the challenges correct,  but with a different solution. My Dad helped me with some of the cards.  The little pieces didn't always stay on the game.

Review by Mom and Dad.

This game is a great educational logic game.  It's a one player game, although I could see working together as a team to complete the challenges.  The player is given a card or "challenge" (60 challenges beginners to experts) that shows what tokens can be used.  Some tokens have a set place and you use the other tokens listed to create your circuit.  If it works, beacons are lit up to show the electric current.  My husband helped our 8 year old with it.  She loved it.  She got excited each time she lit up the beacon lights.  She did have to think about some of them for a bit.  My husband tried an expert level by himself and even he took a bit to find the solution.  He LOVES logic puzzles so this is the perfect game for him.  I'm a teacher and will be sharing this game with other teachers to possibly use as a center in class.

We did have some issues with the tokens not staying in the grid correctly.  They'd pop out.  It was difficult to get out of the packaging, but all the tokens have a place to be put back in.  It does require 3AAA batteries.  There are also lots of warnings about not overloading a circuit.  Basically, you should monitor children playing it so that they aren't overloading the battery causing it to overheat.

The game is available on Amazon for $29.99.  Check it out here.

Mamaway Baby Sling Review

Product was provided for review.  All opinions are my own.

I recently received a mamaway baby sling to try out. With twins many times both want to be held by Mama which can be quite difficult. I've been looking into baby wearing more and more.  With four kids and two being infants, it is a necessity.   One of my favorite go-to baby wearing items is a ring sling because it's fast and easy to put on. No buckles. No straps.

We tried out the mamaway sling right away and love it.  Both my boys enjoyed being in it. They took turns and we're so happy once in.

The fabric feels great. It's 100% Prima cotton. It's strong and not stretchy.  If it stretched they wouldn't feel so secure.

There's a pouch sewn into it so that you can fold it up and store it. This is one of my favorite features. I can fold It up neatly and compact and put it in my diaper bag for whenever I need it. I find myself needing it quite often.  Now I need to get a second one so I can wear one baby on each hip.

I was a little worried that the rings are plastic but they seem strong and the fabric slid right through easily but held strong.

They have great instructional videos. I had worn my boys in a ring sling before but when I saw the videos I realize it was so much easier using tips from the videos.  There are so many options with a ring sling from infants all the way up to 100+lbs. My 8 year old is not even close to a 100 lbs so no worries about your baby not fitting.  There's plenty of length on the tail to fit even larger women. I'm not tiny and it fit me fine with plenty of room to go.  Plus the extra tail can be used for a breast feeding cover.

I love the color options too!  Check them out!

Keeping kids healthy - Pfizer Pediatric Giveaway

This post may be sponsored.

No one likes it when their children are sick. We recently had twin boys in January. It was just in time for flu season. All moms and newborns are paranoid about their babies getting sick and we had two to worry about.  Having twins is difficult. The last thing I would want is sick twin infants. With two older kids in school we were extra careful to try and keep all the kids healthy. We managed to avoid the flu but not several different colds that ran to the house. Poor Bubby had a cough for weeks.  He seems to go through this every year. He will get a typical cold with a cough and the cough just does not go away. He ends up miserable and has to use an inhaler.  This year he had the worst runny nose he's ever had.  It was during Spring Break too.

Here are some tips to help keep your family healthy.

Wash your hands frequently. Wash hands for at least 20 seconds. I know I'm guilty of not washing my hands long enough. 20 seconds seems like nothing until you're washing your hands and then it seems like forever when kids are waiting for you. Singing Happy Birthday will help you wash your hands long enough.
Use hand sanitizer. All teaching, I don't always have time to stop and wash my hands throughout each class. I always keep hand sanitizer on hand for me and for students. Since having the twins, I have hand sanitizer in the car when I pick up my older kids from school.

Clean your work area and/or home frequently. Write down your work area with antibacterial wipes or sprays. In the middle of flu season, I try to remember to disinfect my classroom and home as much as I can.

Change your clothes when you get home. When my two older kids were babies the first thing I did when I got home was change my clothes. After teaching 100 + kid today, I worried about what was lingering on my clothes. I have my older kids take a shower shortly after getting home. It saved us from the shower fight at night and get it done early.

Keep a supply of cold medication in case you do get sick.  Running out to pick up medicine while sick or with a sick kid is never fun at all.  Go to Target early and stock up on medicines that you know you will need.  Always be sure to check dosing information carefully.  Check with your pediatrician especially for infants.

Cozi Tot baby sling review

I've been MIA for a bit. I needed a break from social media etc.

I'm back and have doubled our number of children. We now have twin boys. They are two months old. I've been looking into baby wearing because well there's two and it seems necessary. One little guy hates his car seat and the car.

I recently received the cozi tot baby sling to review. It isn't a sling,  but is a mei tai style carrier. I'm not very good at baby wearing yet and getting straps and things right somehow look so easy yet seem complicated to get just right.

This carrier had an odd smell out of the bag,  but smells better after washing. The pictures on Amazon show babies facing outward but as far as I know it's meant to face inward on front or back. The instructions have pictures. I still got confused and looked at YouTube videos to show how to do different mei tai wraps.   These make more sense. It's just easier to see it live.  I tried an infant carry with his legs in.   My first try with cozi tot instructions we did legs out.

My little guy seemed content once he was in. I'm sure I have some adjusting to do. I wore it around the house. It helped calm him down during his fussiest time of day.

The straps felt comfortable.  There was no digging. In doing some research,  many say the stitching should be a certain stitch to make these carriers safe which I don't see on this one. I don't know that I'd trust this as a back carrier,  but I'm scared to back carry right now anyway.

This is a cheap and easy carrier to start baby wearing with.
